OSU!Sub10 is a challenge project developed by me as a test to see what I could throw together off the top of my head without many optimizations and polish, in under 10 hours. Everything from the circle and slider looks to the mechanics and beatmaps were constructed by me. It is very hard to showcase a rhythm game with just a paragraph and images, so please checkout the github repository to try it yourself! The credit for the original idea of OSU! goes to its creators; a link to OSU! is given in the github repository for this project.
I had actually created a Java version of this in 2024 using Swing, but that was clunky and only ran on Windows, so I decided to make something portable. The Java version is also available on my github.The project is extremely lightweight and uses entirely Unity UI components to function, it can be installed on most versions of android.The rules are outlined in the github repository README, as well as an APK download to try yourself. Blackwood is an cyber-noir mystery-narrative focused 3D first-person puzzle game made in Unreal Engine 5. Set in 2087, Blackwood is centered on the activities of Cypher, a veteran police investigator armed with an ocular implant she uses to solve crimes in the rural Ontario town of Blackwood.The project was in development for just over a year and through that time put out a workable demo showcased at Level Up Showcase Toronto 2025 and won Toronto Metropolitan University's TARA award for Best Video Game Project 2024/25.I worked on backend scripting and blueprint writing for puzzles. Met Game Studios (formerly Game Makers Union) is a very large student group at Toronto Metropolitan University dedicated to game development and education about games.The club runs as a large student-run studio, and aims to produce a full game every school year.The 2024/2025 project was Final Escort, of which I was the Programming Producer. Final Escort is a 3D souls-like ARPG following the journey of the princess Elenore and her loyal knight Alaine. Due to time constraints, only a demo was released and showcased at Level Up Showcase Toronto 2025.The 2025/2026 project is a beat-em-up sidescroller rhythm game that is currently in development! 6/27 is a student game studio for students to work on portfolio projects with other students who are just as passionate about game development as they are.The studio was founded in April 2025 by Madeline "Stormwhy/Stormy" Hanitijo and myself.I was super bored and wanted to make a clone of Fire Emblem Awakening after replaying it so I decided to make it into a nice portfolio project with all the works, and that's how I ended up contacting Madeline to make character art. Several energy drinks and a few exams later we had gotten an extra 5 people in various fields and were talking about marketing plans at 11PM in a discord call.The studio plans to work on more projects after our debut project: "Project Iron" (working title).
Project Iron (working title) is a passion project lead by myself (Project Lead, Lead Programmer) and Madeline "Stormwhy/Stormy" Hanitijo (Project Producer, Lead Artist).Project Iron is specifically inspired by the Fire Emblem GameBoy Advance Titles (The Blazing Blade, The Binding Blade) and the 3DS titles (Awakening, Fates Conquest/Birthright/Revelations), as well as various Dungeons and Dragons archetypes.The plot revolves around Ylru, a young time mage who figured out how to stop time, but in doing so released a millennium-old demon that wipes everyone in his city off the map except him. He now roams the land in search of people to help him get revenge and kill them demon.It is impossible to fit all the work done so far in this small space from all 9 people working on the title, however, Project Iron promises to deliver in-depth strategic gameplay accompanied with a moving narrative and auditory-visual experience. All members of the project are pouring hours of their (very little) free time into making this project a reality.I am happy to explain my very large codebase and the systems I have written in an interview wink-wink nudge-nudge.
